Event Description
Offered in partnership with the Center for Social Impact at Utah Valley University, SIP is a unique learning experience focused on developing outstanding social impact professionals. Join a select group of peers from corporate, government, education and non-profit organizations for this intensive program. The Program offers an exceptional selection of faculty and facilitators that will guide you in discovering the strategies, skills, resources and networks needed to create and maximize your social impact opportunities.
Upon successful completion of the Program, you will receive the Social Impact Professional Certificate and recognition at a special closing ceremony. Develop the expertise, credibility and confidence to advance your career and make meaningful contributions in your organization, industry and community. Earning the Social Impact Professional Certificate is a great way to demonstrate your ability and professional achievement.

Details
The Program consists of 16 courses held every other Wednesday evening (excluding certain UVU blackout dates) at UVU's North Lehi Campus at Thanksgiving Point from 6:00 pm – 8:30 pm*. Participants can enter the Program at any point and do not have to complete the courses in order. For course dates and descriptions, visit our website for details.
* The Program is currently planned for onsite, in-person instruction. If local health concerns prevent gatherings on the scheduled dates, instruction will be provided via live interactive sessions online.
Social impact is an interdisciplinary field with a rich and rigorous academic history. Unfortunately, there are few spaces where practitioners can really dive into social impact thought, theory, and practice. Many often falsely believe they can only be involved through the non-profit or social work sectors. CSI’s mission is to develop active citizens empowered to make real social impact – significant, positive change that addresses a pressing, community-identified social challenge in their communities. With the knowledge and skills gained in this Program, Participants will be able to create social impact in any field or space.
The courses address current, real-world social issues from a variety of viewpoints. Through the latest research, best practices, and personal success experiences, learn about the social issues about which you are the most passionate. Gain invaluable insights into how other successful social impact professionals discover innovative solutions and develop viable, strategic plans to lead positive change. Explore our community partner database to identify local, national and global organizations and projects tackling those same social problems. Then, engage and partner with them to begin making a more meaningful, purposeful contribution.
